In July 2020 the Not Forgotten Association contacted us to advise on a new project to commemorate 75 years since the end of WW2. They wanted to send the survivors who had served during the war a ‘Forgot you not box’.
They asked us to come up with some ideas for items that would be suitable to send out to this amazing generation of heroes who very much deserve recognition for their service and sacrifice for this Country. Each box contained a mug, a commemorative coin (including a story of the history of how the Charity began), lens cloth, tea towel, chocolate bar, coaster, miniature bottle of Port, a DVD of performances specially performed for Veterans, a booklet, and a personal message card from HRH Princess Anne. All the items were collated and wrapped in specially printed tissue paper and carefully packed into the printed boxes at our UK distribution centre in Hayes ready for despatch to over 2,500 individual addresses across the UK. The campaign was a huge success with some very touching heart felt stories of gratitude and surprise at receiving such a gift. Many relatives registered their loved one to receive the box without them knowing so when it arrived it was received with tears of joy. The campaign received huge media coverage.
